Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews aren’t the only NFL power pair having a sensational year.
Enter Houstons Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and his girlfriend, Jilly Anais. In September, the 25-year-old NFL star agreed to a four-year, $160 million extension with the Texans, making him the second-highest paid quarterback behind Mahomes.
The announcement of Watson’s deal came a few days before his birthday, which Anais, 24, celebrated on social media.
“Happy 25th Birthday my LoveBug! I love you and I’m rockin’ with you ‘til we extinct!” she posted to Instagram at the time.
Beyond Watson’s birthday and contract extension, it appears the couple not only knows how to celebrate but has plenty of exciting moments to cherish in the months ahead.
Anais and Watson marked a relationship milestone over the summer
In July, Watson and Anais celebrated their one-year dating anniversary, with each posting a touching tribute on Instagram.
“LoveBug, This year has been nothing but pure bliss!” Anais gushed. “I love doing life with you.. You are my best friend, my pookie dookie, my motivation, my backbone, my happy place!”
Earlier this year, Anais appeared in a YouTube video, revealing she and Watson first locked eyes at an LA restaurant, and later connected on social media.
“I fall deeper in love with you every second of every day! I love you, I adore you and I can’t wait to continue building unforgettable memories with you..,” she said. “1 year down, forever to go! Happy Anniversary Baby.”
She always shows her support on the Texans’ game days
For the Texans’ Week 5 showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Anais cheered on her quarterback beau at Houston’s NRG Stadium, which welcomed a limited number of fans back to the venue in September amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to her Instagram post, Watson — who wears No. 4 — replied, “4s UP!!”
The Texans scored their first win of the season that game, 30-14.
Her career is expanding
Anais, who boasts 2.7 million Instagram followers, has a few acting credits to her name, including a 2016 appearance on the TV series “Freakish,” as well as the 2019 drama “God Send.”
This fall, she’ll celebrate the release of her cookbook, “The Boss Babe Can Cookbook.” “To the love of my life @deshaunwatson, Thank you for seeing this vision before anyone and supporting me the way you do! I forever adore you!” Anais posted to Instagram in October.
Watson later replied, “Congratulations Luv! You did it! Proud of you! Enjoy it!”
She’s close to another NFL WAG
Katherine Webb, wife of Texans back-up quarterback AJ McCarron, is one of Anais’ dearest friends.
In addition to catching the games together, they’ve double dated, recently enjoying dinner at Nobu Houston.
In January, McCarron and Webb — who are expecting their third son together, celebrated Anais’ birthday with Watson, according to TMZ.
