Chicago Attractions Offer Virtual Access Amid Coronavirus
Several museums and attractions in Chicago are providing free access to tours, exhibits and more from their websites.
CHICAGO, IL — Residents across the Chicago area can still enjoy the city's best attractions while following statewide orders to stay home amid the coronavirus pandemic. You can take in a new 'adventure' each day thanks to your phone, computer or tablet, as several museums and attractions in Chicago and across the world are providing free access to tours, exhibits and more.
You can check who is open for virtual business by simply going to your favorite attraction's website, or even better, let Google Arts & Culture search for you. Thanks to this platform, you can search for your favorite spots, check out what's "Nearby" or "Explore."

- Adler Planetarium
- The Art Institute of Chicago
- Chicago History Museum
- Tour Chicago's Culinary History (exhibit)
Other area attractions are providing daily events and updates, including Field Museum's "Experience the Field at Home" activities for all ages, and frequent tweets on the museum's Twitter page from Sue the Dinosaur.
