During Tuesday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough applauded the media for how it covered FBI special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russia interference during the 2016 presidential election.
Scarborough said the “media did a pretty damn good job” considering all the lying from President Donald Trump and his allies.
“I’m just curious, what was the media supposed to do when Donald Trump lied about meetings with Russians, the vice president lied about campaign meetings with Russia, the attorney general lied about meetings with Russians, Jared Kushner lied about meeting with Russians, George Papadopoulos lied about meeting with Russians? I could go on and on, but I won’t. I’ll just say the media did a pretty damn good job,” he stated.
“The media did its job,” co-host Mika Brzezinski added. “And will continue to do so.”
