On Sunday night, the 96th annual Academy Awards capped off awards season at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The 2024 Oscars were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel – his second consecutive year and fourth overall turn as host. It was a particularly stacked year, with Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, American Fiction and The Holdovers all up for Best Picture.

Oppenheimer, which led the night with an impressive 13 nominations, triumphed, taking seven trophies in total, including the prizes for Best Picture, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, and Best Actor for leading man Cillian Murphy.

On the fashion front, the guests largely stuck to classic glamour – but that didn’t stop certain stars from turning out some truly jaw-dropping looks. Zendaya’s glamorous Armani Privé gown, Greta Lee’s ultra-sleek Loewe look and Ariana Grande’s dramatic Giambattista Valli all stood out.
