Chinese National Gets 2 Years Prison in Phillips 66 Secrets Case

A Chinese national who stole trade secrets from Phillips 66 worth more than $1 billion while working as an engineer for the petroleum company was sentenced to two years in prison, prosecutors said.

Hongjin Tan, a permanent legal resident of the U.S., was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Oklahoma after pleading guilty in November, according to statement issued by the Justice Department.
