Tesla’s Hunt for Self-Driving Revenue

Earlier this week, Elon Musk emailed Tesla staff to announce a final step in the process of delivering cars to customers. From now on, Musk wrote, employees would have to set the customers up with a feature Tesla calls Full Self-Driving, or FSD, and take them for a test drive. Musk was apologetic: “I know this will slow down the delivery process,” he wrote, but added that it was a “hard requirement,” as in nonnegotiable.
