James Holzhauer may want to think about leaving his previous career behind. On Tuesday night, the Jeopardy contestant achieved the unthinkable when he broke the record for single-day cash winnings with a whopping $110,914. Holzhauer smashed the previous record of $77,000 out of the water with his massive win — his fourth consecutive one — which helped bring his total earnings to $244,365. What is, a boatload of money?

After walking away with $50,845 on Monday night (bringing his three-day total to $133,451), Holzhauer, a professional sports gambler, was the clear favorite going into Tuesday’s show. The Las Vegas, Nevada native more than defended his title, coming into Final Jeopardy with an astounding $72,600 compared to his opponents’ $7,000 (Sameer Rai) and $6,400 (Ariana Mikulski). Despite all three contestants getting the physics-related question correct, Rai and Mikulski simply couldn’t compete with Holzhauer’s dominating lead, and a wager of over $38,000 pushed him into record-breaking territory.

Holzhauer’s knowledge of quantum leaps left him with $110,914, the most money earned in a single game since Roger Craig won $77,000 on September 19, 2010. According to a Jeopardy representative, his daily sum has a special significance: his daughter was born on November 9, 2014, or 11/09/14. Talk about a weird coincidence.

“I said all along that I wanted to break Roger Craig’s one-game record and I did it,” said Holzhauer. On Wednesday, he’ll have a chance to beat his own record in his fifth consecutive game, a huge accomplishment for any Jeopardy contestant — regardless of their total winnings. We’ll be cheering you on from afar, Holzhauer!
