The massive tree that forms the centerpiece of the annual Bentleyville holiday light display at Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park is scheduled to be assembled on Saturday.

Installation of the 128-foot-tall tree, covered in more than 150,000 LED lights, is slated to begin at about 8 a.m. and be complete by about 11 a.m.

Helping with the installation will be members of Iron Workers Local 512 along with Boldt, Titan Machinery and Halvor Lines.

The volunteer effort to set up the Bentleyville lights continues on Wednesday nights and weekends. Help is needed each Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday nights from 5-8 p.m.

Volunteers must be at least 16. Work will include building tunnels, displays and barricades, installing rope lighting, distributing power cords and repairing lights. Lunch will be provided every Saturday and Sunday.
