11/02/19: Thomas Markle Has Actually Shared Private Letters From Meghan Markle And Says There Are More Revelations More Coming

After previously discussing the contents of private letters from his daughter the Duchess of Sussex, Thomas Markle has now actually released the heart-wrenching, handwritten notes for the world to see.

The five page letter, published in the Mail on Sunday, lays bare the former actress' anguish after her wedding, which Thomas Markle failed to attend.

In the note, sent in August of last year, the philanthropist discusses how much pain her father has caused her.

We have decided not to publish extracts from the deeply personal letter, as the release of the private letters was clearly without the royal's consent.

Samantha Markle, Thomas' daughter and Meghan's half-sister, has also threatened that their father will release more.

We don't want more letters, all we want is for this manipulation end.

Please, make this horrendous behaviour stop.

17/12/18: Thomas Markle Won’t Stop Talking To The Press And The Internet Is Not Having It

Days after Thomas Markle Sr. shared private letters between himself and daughter Meghan Markle, the former lighting director has appeared live on British TV to discuss her further.

The man just won't listen to good advice and stay schtum.

Talking to Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan (who has himself spoken multiple times of how the Duchess of Sussex rejected him as a friend), Meghan's 74 year-old father revealed further intimate details of his relationship with his pregnant daughter.

'She has always been a very controlling person and that is part of her nature - but she has never been rude.’ Markle Sr. told the hosts, ‘She has always been in charge'.

Chagrined that neither the Duke of Duchess have spoken to him since he staged paparazzi photographs prior to their wedding, the future grandfather to the royal baby explained on the popular breakfast show that his actions don't warrant their silence: ‘I don't feel that that's worthy of being shunned or ghosted – that's ridiculous.’

He reiterated multiple times that the newlyweds had not responded to any of his forms of contact and said that he has a right to continue to attempt to contact his daughter publicly.

'I'm hopeful that soon something will be resolved and we'll be talking. This can't continue forever. People are saying I should be quiet about this and not speak – if I don't speak, they will speak to me. That hasn't happened.

'I don't plan to be silent for the rest of my life. I love my daughter very much and she has to know that. I would really appreciate if she would just call me, reach out to me somehow, send me a text, just say you're there and you're hearing me.'

Markle, who has two other children, Samantha and Thomas Jr., also spoke of the Duchess' pregnancy, detailing that the birth in spring could open up an opportunity for contact, with the potential for him to meet 'a little Meghan or little Harry'.

'That would be very nice and I look forward to that happening,' he told Reid and Morgan. 'I'm hopeful. I think it should happen. I think she'll make a great mum and maybe things will soften a little bit and we'll connect again.

'There has to be a place for me. I'm her father and I will be the grandfather to the children so all I can say is that I'm here. She knows it. I've reached out to her and I need her to reach back to me. I love her very much.'

Unfortunately for Thomas, the internet does not appear to be sympathetic to his attempts, with many taking to Twitter to decry the father's public discussion of his daughter.

10/12/18: Thomas Markle Is Now Sharing Private Letters From Meghan Markle And He Needs To Stop

Just over a year after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement, the now-Duchess of Sussex’s father has spoken out once more about his difficult relationship with his daughter.

Thomas Markle, a former lighting director, is continuing ill-advised attempts to contact his pregnant daughter through the press, with a tell-all interview with Mail on Sunday.

‘I have been frozen out and I can’t stay silent,’ he explained, ‘I have made dozens of attempts to reach my daughter via text and letters, but she and Harry have put up a wall of silence. They have done what they once told me not to do – they are believing everything negative that has been written about me. So I am reaching out to them, once again, to try to correct the lies and get the truth out there.'

The father, who did not walk his daughter down the aisle in May due to heart problems, has given the paper access to private letters written by his former-actress daughter.

One letter is quoted as her writing, ‘All I want to do is make you proud… and I promise, no matter what, I’ll do it.’

In another she tells her father that, ‘I love you to no end.’

Unfortunately, Meghan’s father, who notably admitted to staging paparazzi shots of himself preparing for the Royal wedding, continues and shares the contents of his own private letters to his daughter, and explains that he discusses Prince Harry’s own past digressions, in an attempt to excuse his own:

‘I’ve pleaded with her to pick up the phone. I wrote her a two-page letter and sent it by certified mail via her representative in Los Angeles. I asked her why she was believing the lies. I also pointed out the Royals haven’t always been perfectly behaved. I wrote that I’ve never played pool naked, nor have I dressed up as a Nazi [a reference to Harry’s infamous pictures in Las Vegas in 2012 and the time that he wore a crude imitation of a Nazi uniform, including a swastika armband, in 2005].’

Unfortunately, this type of manipulation from a father is not unfamiliar to many. Instead of these humiliating attempts at contact in the public eye, perhaps he should be taking a cue from his own daughter and keeping quiet?

What are your thoughts on the matter?
