Alabama's Collin Sexton plans to enter NBA draft

Young Bull is headed to the NBA.

Alabama star point guard Collin Sexton plans to enter the NBA draft, sources told AL.com.

The expectation, per sources, is that Sexton will remain in the draft even if he doesn't immediately sign with an agent. Sexton had strongly weighed returning to Tuscaloosa for his sophomore season before opting to go pro.

Alabama is holding a press conference on Friday, which is likely when Sexton will announce his decision.

Sexton averaged 19.2 points per game as a freshman last season and became the Crimson Tide's first All-American since Richard Hendrix in 2008.

NBADraft.net ranks Sexton as the top point guard and eighth-best overall prospect in this year's NBA draft. In their most recent mock draft, they have Sexton being picked No. 8 overall by the Chicago Bulls.
