Cher has become such an internet sensation for her Twitter that you'll sometimes forget she's an Oscar-winning actress too. (On top of those music and TV careers.)

But it appears she's not done with the movie world yet, because she just confirmed that she is somehow involved with the Mamma Mia! movie sequel, Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again.

It all started with Twitter user and MASSIVE Cher fan @itzaneylis asked, "excuse me you wonderful human, could you pls tell us something about this before I get too excited????":

That "something" was news that Cher was "lending her vocal talents" to the sequel film. Which she confirmed, tweeting, "WELL…IM IN MOMMA MIA2 🎂":

It's still unclear what the exact nature of the film sequel will be, but it'll reportedly be a prequel with British actress Lily James playing the younger version of Meryl Streep's Donna. With most of the first film's cast returning, Mamma Mia fans everywhere should also lay their love on Cher.

Meryl has been lobbying for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again ever since the first film smashed the worldwide box office, making more than $600 million back in 2008.
For a long time, it was ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus who resisted the prospect of a sequel, but clearly any reservations they've had have been resolved.

The film is currently being planned for a July 2018 release, and will bring back the original stage musical's co-creator Judy Craymer.
