At the age of 15, Emoni Bates graced the cover of Sports Illustrated with expectations of being the next generational talent in basketball.
Three years later, a rollercoaster final high school season and a turbulent freshman campaign at the collegiate level has raised some questions on whether the Ypsilanti native can live up to the hype that once dubbed him next in line to be an NBA great.
