A deadly weekend for motorcyclists on the Sea to Sky Highway.
Pemberton RCMP say around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, a motorcycle travelling northbound on Highway 99 lost control on a corner just north of the In Shuck Forest Service Road before sliding into the path of a southbound vehicle.
The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old Vancouver man, died at the scene.
Then, late Sunday morning, as many as three out of a group of four motorcycles travelling northbound on Highway 99 collided with a southbound vehicle, about nine kilometres north of Joffre Lake.
One motorcycle driver from the Lower Mainland died at the scene. Two other motorcyclists and two people from the vehicle were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, and a motorcycle passenger was airlifted to a Lower Mainland area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say the collision closed the highway in both directions while investigators are on scene collecting evidence.
