Seven Florida football players, including star wide receiver Antonio Callaway and top running back Jordan Scarlett, have entered into pre-trial intervention for felony charges related to an ongoing credit card fraud case.

The Tampa Bay Times and Gainesville Sun are reporting that Callaway, Scarlett, defensive lineman Keivonnis Davis, wide receiver Rick Wells, linebacker Ventrell Miller, linebacker James Houston and lineman Richerd Desir-Jones also entered the program. Defensive lineman Jordan Smith and offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort are still facing felony charges.

Callaway -- a preseason All-SEC pick -- has been suspended since mid-August, as have Telfort, Desir-Jones, Davis, Smith, Houston and Miller. Scarlett and Wells were added to the case on Aug. 30, three days before the Gators opened the season with Michigan.

The nine players are accused of using stolen credit card numbers to fund their university bookstore accounts in order to buy electronics and other merchandise. If the players meet the terms of the pre-trial intervention program -- which typically includes community service and restitution -- the felony charges would be dropped.

Florida (3-3, 3-2 SEC) plays No. 3 Georgia (7-0, 4-0) in Jacksonville on Saturday, but the players are not expected to be reinstated by then.

"We've been made aware of some updates in the legal process, and there are still steps to go that include the University student conduct code," coach Jim McElwain said in a statement to the Tampa Bay Times.

The Florida-Georgia game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised by CBS.
