Evil paedophile who committed more than 1,000 sex crimes and planned to turn a Thai orphanage into a child abuse den is allowed to live unsupervised after transitioning to a woman

  • Paedophile, 56, has had her supervision orders changed by a WA court
  • The court said their transition to a woman could reduce chance of reoffending
  • She was jailed over child sex abuse crimes in Perth's Casuarina Prison in 2005
  • She plotted to set up a child sex ring in Thailand with another child abuser in jail

A 'chronic' paedophile who carried out more than 1,000 horrific child sex abuse crimes will be able to live more unsupervised after a court found her transition into a woman could reduce the chance of reoffending.

The 56-year-old was locked up in Casuarina Prison in Perth in 2005 over child abuse crimes.

While behind bars, the ex-Royal Australian Air Force recruit met fellow child abuser and notorious WA paedophile, Mark Pendleton, with the pair planning to set up a business making porcelain dolls in Thailand, as a front to get access to children.

They had plotted to employ poor Thai women and intended to abuse their children.

The 56-year-old has been living in the community under strict conditions since 2012, but has been living as a woman since a gender dysphoria diagnosis in 2019.

This week WA Supreme Court Justice Michael Corboy ruled she be given a new four-year supervision order adding her gender transition had been in the 'community's interests',  the West Australian reported.

'(It has) resulted in positive changes in her psychological state and personal and social circumstances that are also protective,' he said.

Forensic psychiatrist Gosia Wojnarowska added the offender's 'social situation' had improved and she felt 'more accepted' by society.

Lawyers for the State had applied to have her previous supervision order extended, saying there was a risk of her reoffending.

Those conditions saw her take anti-libidinal medication.

She will now be ordered to undergo 'testosterone suppressing treatment' as part of her new conditions imposed by the court.

She and Pendleton had discussed the Thailand child sex ring while in jail together, and after the 56-year-old was released on parole in 2008 she continued their plans.

She contacted Thai women over dating apps, and would then report back to Pendleton in jail.

The pair were eventually both convicted of trying to set up the child abuse ring, with prosecutors saying her plans effectively involved wanting to turn an orphanage into a 'child brothel'.

From 2008 she was labelled by a judge as a 'chronic' paedophile who was 'unlikely to change significantly ever'.

A report from 2018 showed she had been scared she was going to 'snatch' a child after she stopped taking the anti-libidinal medication.
