Marcus Browne and Badou Jack go at it during Friday’s weigh-in

SPT Browne

Marcus Browne and Badou Jack needed to be separated at Friday's weigh-in.

Things are heating up between prize fighters Marcus Browne and Badou Jack ahead of Saturday’s bout for the WBA’s vacant interim light heavyweight belt.

Both fighters weighed in at 175 lbs on Friday, and stood nose to nose while seemingly barking at one another in front of an audience at the MGM Grand Arena in Paradise, Nev.

When Jack stepped in front of Browne to pose on stage for the crowd, Browne returned the favor -- shoving Jack out of the way to pose himself.

Jack shoved back before both fighters were separated.

Days earlier, Browne told Sporting News' Max Ortega that he was willing to bet $50k on himself, but Jack blamed his religion for not being able to accept the wager.

After the weigh-in, Browne told Arizona sportswriter Norm Frauenheim that Jack tried to intimidate him.

Browne referred to Jack as being “soft” and added “he can’t intimidate me.”

PAY DAY

ESPN’s Dan Rafael revealed the purses ahead of Saturday’s bout, and both fighters are in line to receive a nice chunk of change.

Jack is set to receive $500k, while Browne will be due $250k.

The fight will air on Showtime Pay-Per-View as the co-main event to Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrian Broner.
