Last chance to see "The Who's Tommy" at the Sea View Theatre

Sea View Playwright's Theatre presents 'Tommy' for a second weekend, Jan. 25 to 27.

Here's how Playbill  describes the show: "Tommy" tells the story of a deaf, dumb and mute  boy who becomes a world-famous pinball wizard and the leader of a cult  of devotees.

Now for the cast: JJ Leary stars as 4-year-old Tommy; Robert  Terzino-Torres, 10-year-old Tommy; Tye Musante, Tommy (Present); Nicole  Hermansen, Mrs. Walker; Philip Buccigrossi, Capt. Walker; Bobby Vacarro,  Lover/Specialist; Nathan Ullrich, Uncle Ernie; Joe Gambino, Cousin  Kevin; Ariel Marcus, Sally Simpson; Laura Casertano, Acid Queen, and  Stephanie Langella, Pinball Wizard. The ensemble consists of Amanda Rose  Benjamin, Victoria Gullo, Rina Sklar, Thomas Gonzalez, Kristiana  Longinotti and Marissa Terzino.

Elvis Presley tribute show at St. George Theatre: Jan. 26

The St. George Theatre pays tribute to the King with a night of music.

Impersonators Shawn Klush and Cody Ray Slaughter will cover Elvis songs throughout the evening to honor what would have been the singer's 84th birthday. Tickets to the show range between $40-$60.

Hollywood's Greatest Game Show at the St. George Theatre: Jan. 27

Hollywood's Greatest Game Show is an array of nine interactive shows live on stage Sunday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.

A total of 42 contestants will have a chance to try their hand at winning prizes, including $1,000,000 at the end of the evening's fare.

Interactive shows including "The Newlywed Game," "Card Sharks," "Dealer's Choice, "Minute to Win It," "Dance Fever," "Name That Tune," and more.

Spotlight Theatre presents 'Mamma Mia': Jan. 24-27

Start your weekend early with some local theater.

Spotlight Theatre presents "Mamma Mia," a Broadway musical with scores by ABBA, at Snug Harbor Music Hall daily from Thursday, Jan. 24 to Sunday, Jan. 27.

Performances of "Mamma Mia" are slated for Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m.

Canvas Institute presents Martin Luther King Jr. "I Have a Dream" children's event

Why not join a children's book reading group on Saturday, Jan. 26 when the Canvas Institute presents a book reading at 1 p.m.; art collages at 2 p.m. and lunch at 3 p.m.

At 3:30 p.m. children can have their faces painted and they can make their own bookmark and take in "Queen of Katwe" at 4:30 p.m.

Sunshine Sunday at The Historic Old Bermuda Inn

Jessica Caracciolo, Andrew Olsen, and Thomas Olsen will reprise their roles as event co-chairs for the JCC's annual Sunshine Sunday set for Sunday, Jan.  27th from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Historic Old Bermuda Inn, 301 Veterans Road, Rossville.

For the third consecutive year, they and their dedicated committee will raise funds to support the Lucille and Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp for children with cancer and their siblings. The funds ensure that these children will attend the camp free of charge since their illness causes financial hardship to the family.

Sunshine Sunday will include a deejay, raffles, a basket auction and more. It will also honor three individuals who have dedicated to helping children with cancer, Gail Castellano, Karen Aversa and Dr. Joan Graziano.

"Speaking of Color" featuring Fritz (Steven) Weiss

Catch a glimpse of the opening reception for "Speaking of Color" on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at CPG Gallery, Staten Island's only photography gallery located at 814 Richmond Terrace in St. George.

In addition to the featured CPG photographer Fritz (Steven) Weiss, works by George Roos, Richard Xuereb, Marilyn Kiss, Connie Frisch-Cherniak, Robin George, Joyce Coletti, Robert Haber, Willie Chu, Bruce Cohn, Doug Schwab, Linda DiCosmo and Joan Velazquez will be on tap.

The show runs from Saturday Jan. 26 through Sunday, March 3.

"Super Science: Crystal Clear," hosted by the Staten Island Museum

The event unfolds on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the museum located at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Livingston.

The program is geared for children six to 12 years of age.

Super science participants must pay the full admission price of $2. Adults are admitted free of charge.

"Sons and Daughters of Italy: Fashions and Faces" at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum in Rosebank

Hosted by the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum, Order Sons of Italy in America, the Fr. Vincent R. Capodanno Lodge, No. 212, the program will showcase fashions and faces from regions of Italy on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m.

The Museum will also host a new exposition, second in a series of regional costumes from Campania, Abruzzo, Le Marche and Lombardia, accompanied by a collection of some of the famous sons and daughters of each region.

"Portraits by William J. Castello and Biographies by Marianna Randazzo."

The price? $10 for non-members/$5 for GMM Members.
The exhibit runs through March.

"Art in the Park" hosted by Clay Pit Ponds State Park Preserve

Jan. 26 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.: Bird baths and feeders provide migratory birds with stopover snacks. Participants will paint and assemble terra cotta pots to create outdoor bird baths and will make a variety of different types of bird feeders out of recycled materials.

The event is geared for ages five and over.
