Brick Police Seeking 911 Dispatchers

The police department is seeking people to answer calls and dispatch emergency services.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department is accepting applications for dispatchers.

The department said it is hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. Dispatchers — also referred to as emergency communications operators — are the people who answer the calls that come into the department via 911, and then help direct emergency responders to the site of the call.

Applications can be filled out online through a link on the township's human resources page on its website.

The human resources page notes: "The Township of Brick participates in the New Jersey Civil Service System and as such all procedures regarding employment are dictated by New Jersey Civil Service Rules. Anyone seeking employment with the Township of Brick should visit the New Jersey Civil Service Commission website to view job postings."
