Woman charged for allegedly shoving straphanger into moving train

The woman who randomly shoved a fellow straphanger into a moving train at a Manhattan subway station has been charged with attempted murder, authorities said Wednesday.

Linda Chavez, 33, of Queens, allegedly pushed the 31-year-old victim into a 6 train arriving at the Lexington Avenue/59th Street station around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

The victim struck the first train car and fell back onto the platform, suffering an arm injury, authorities said.

Chavez was busted at the scene and now faces attempted murder and assault charges.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
