After Conquering Politics, Barack Obama Inches One Step Closer to Lucrative Rap Career with Hamilton Feature

While I impatiently wait for “Hamilton” tickets to someday cost less than my rent, Christmas came early for those of us dying for a hot 16 from our forever president Barack Obama.

Okay, not quite a hot 16, but dammit he’s featured on the latest release from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s HamilDrop series—so a posse cut with him, Chance the Rapper, and the Ghost of Kanye West has to be imminent.

“I anticipate with pleasing expectation that retreat in which I promise myself to realize, without alloy, the sweet enjoyment of partaking, in the midst of my fellow-citizens, the benign influence of good laws under a free government, the ever-favorite object of my heart, and the happy reward, as I trust, of our mutual cares, labors, and dangers,” Obama delivers into the mic, channeling Kool Moe Dee’s signature growl as he recites an excerpt from George Washington’s farewell address.

You can check out “One Last Time (44 Remix)“—which also features Christopher Jackson and BeBe Winans singing their asses off—below.
