Can you believe Fourth of July is already coming up next week? There are plenty of events this weekend leading up to the holiday around Northern Virginia and DC. From early fireworks shows to cultural festivals and bar crawls, there's quite the variety.

We've rounded up numerous events going on from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30. Some are free, while others have fees.

The larger events you'll find include: Independence Fireworks at Mount Vernon, Workhouse Fireworks, Independence Day Celebration at Lake Fairfax, Spotsylvania Stars and Stripes Spectacular, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, LoCo Beer Week, Red White and Brew Crawl in Leesburg and World Heritage Festival in Fredericksburg.
