3 West Side Students Hospitalized After Possible Overdose

News of the three possible overdoses comes a day after 4 students suffered an overdose​ at Curie High School, according to the CFD.

CHICAGO, IL — Three students at a West Side school were taken to area hospitals after possibly overdosing Thursday morning, officials said, scanner and media reports. Chicago police spokeswoman Kellie Bartoli reported emergency crews were called to the school in the 1200 block of South Pulaski Road, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The South Pulaski Road address is where CCA Academy is located, according to the charter school's website.

According to Larry Merritt, a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department, an 18-year-old woman and two 17-year-old boys were taken to local hospitals after it's believed they had taken Xanax or a similar medication

The news comes less than 24 hours after four freshman students suffered an overdose at Curie High School, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
