When people are dealing with small cysts that spring up out of nowhere, dermatologists often recommend they be patient—given time, a lot of them will go away on their own. In other cases, however, it's hard to imagine doing anything but making a beeline to the nearest dermatologist's office. This happens to be one of those cases.
In a new video published on Saturday night, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, celebrity dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—highlights a massive, ravioli-sized cyst rather inconveniently located on the bottom of a woman's neck.
Keeping with the spirit of Saturday night, Dr. Lee cheekily scores the short clip to Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It." As she puts it in the post's caption, "To pimple poppers, and new mommas out there havin’ babies, PUSH ITTTTT #Drpimplepopper 👉🏼👼🏻👈🏼 OOPS it’s Mother’s Day NEXT WEEKEND!"
While it may seem a little bit alarming, it's actually common for sebaceous cysts to be found on the neck, as well as the scalp, face, and back, according to Healthline. The cheesy-looking innards are usually just made up of keratin, a protein that helps form skin and nails. To help reduce the likelihood that a cyst will return, the dermatologist will also sometimes cut out the sac that contained the cyst.
