The good news for Grandma’s Marathon runners is that the bulk of the rain showers should hold off until the afternoon when the races are over.

Your forecast for today: We are looking at another sunny start to the day with a few clouds increasing into the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be cooler by the lake as east winds will be gusting up to 25 mph at times. We should top out with a high near 68 degrees on top of the hill with upper 50s and low 60s by the lake for the runners.

Tonight: It’s looking like we will stay on the dry side this evening for the William A Irvin 5K. Mostly cloudy skies and a stiff east wind will continue to keep lake shore areas on the cooler side with an overnight low near 50 degrees on top of the hill.

Tomorrow: It looks like the clouds and showers finally begin to make an approach to the area on Saturday. The good news for Grandma’s Marathon runners is that the bulk of the rain showers should hold off until the afternoon when the races are over. Temperatures will remain in the 50s by the lake with an east wind gusting to 20 mph and overcast skies during the morning hours. I can’t rule out a sprinkle or some drizzle in the morning, but better chances of showers move in late in the afternoon with a high of 65 degrees on the hill.

Here is a breakdown of what we are thinking for Grandma’s Marathon:
