Bad news for everyone who put money on the eighth season of American Horror Story being called Radioactive (at least one person did that, right?), because FX has finally announced the season's title and it's, well, not that. It's — drum roll, please — Apocalypse! Great, just peachy. I'm sure this won't have anything at all to do with the current state of life on planet Earth.

FX shared the news on Instagram, along with a promo image that is, as far as AHS promo images go, right up there with the nun bleeding from the eyes that was all over billboards during the Asylum months. Look at this long-nailed devil baby getting hushed by a long-nailed devil hand! I'm having a nightmare already and I'm not even asleep. DO YOUR WORST, RYAN MURPHY! My body is ready.

The AHS Twitter account shared a variation of the devil baby and devil hand, and again, it's just perfect. Also of note? This devil baby is very important in terms of theorizing about what will happen this season. Back in June, Ryan said that the Murder House/Coven crossover season would be happening in 2018 (rather than in 2019 as was previously announced). Now think back to Murder House, which ended with Vivian (Connie Britton) giving birth to a baby whose father was a ghost, and remember that Billie Dean (Sarah Paulson) said that a ghost-fathered baby would signal the beginning of the apocalypse. Is this that baby?! I don't know, but I sure wouldn't cross it and its crazy devil nails.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres Sept. 12.
