12-Year-Old Boy Reported Missing on Far South Side Found Safe

A 12-year-old boy missing since Nov. 24 was found safe on Sunday.

CHICAGO, IL -- A 12-year-old boy missing since Nov. 24 on the South Side has been found safe. Jamal Nasser has been located and returned to his family.

Chicago police issued a community alert for a 12-year-old boy missing on the South Side. Jamal Nasser was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 2800 block of West 99th St. He sometimes goes by the nickname “J-Smalls.”

Jamal was been known to frequent the area of Washington Park near 10600 S. Green St., the Beverly area, Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park, police said. Jamal is white, 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. He has light brown/auburn hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an olive green jacket, dark gray sweat pants, and gray shoes.

Anyone with information about Jamal Nasser’s whereabouts was asked to call the Area South Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274 or 911.
