A person found a racist message and drawing Tuesday morning at the Port of Oakland, and police are investigating, a spokesman for the Port said.

The message, which was viewed by this news organization, contains a racial epithet over a drawing of a person wearing the outfit of the Ku Klux Klan.

Oakland police did not immediately return messages seeking information on the incident. Port of Oakland spokesman Mike Zampa confirmed that police were contacted and investigating but had no other information Tuesday.
