BABYLON, NY — While Halloween may be different this year, one local event will be allowing children to still enjoy trick-or-treat while following coronavirus guidelines.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will be hosting a socially distant trick-or-treat drive thru at Belmont Lake State Park this Saturday. The spooky celebration will take place starting at noon until 2 p.m. or until there are no more goodie bags to give out.

Social distancing guidelines will be in effect and attendees must remain in their car. In addition, masks are required. Cars will drive through the north lot where there will be Halloween decorations and will end with a trick-or-treating car stop. Bags are limited to first come first serve, and all children must be present to receive a goodie bag with fun prizes.
