It's free to fish, crab or clam in Oregon over the Presidents Day weekend.

On Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, no fishing licenses or tags are required. Other restrictions, including closures, bag limits and size restrictions, still apply.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife provides a weekly recreation report on its website with information about the best fishing, crabbing or clamming opportunities. It is updated each Wednesday.

The state offers eight free fishing days each year.
