FORT LEE, NJ — The death of a man whose body was pulled from the Hudson River on Sunday afternoon has been ruled a possible suicide, Port Authority spokesperson Lenis Valens confirmed.

Port Authority patrolling officers spotted an abandoned vehicle on the lower level of the New Jersey-bound George Washington Bridge, and found a man's driver license in the car, Valens said.

New York police later recovered the body of the man, not yet named, from the river and confirmed his identity. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, Valens said.
