Alison Brie addressed the sexual misconduct allegations facing her brother-in-law James Franco at Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, saying that she “supports” her family and that “not everything that’s been reported is fully accurate”.
Brie is married to James Franco’s brother, Dave Franco. James Franco was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour by multiple women just days after he wore a Time’s Up pin to the Golden Globes earlier this month.
In response, Franco has described the claims as “not accurate” and disputed the accusations.
Brie was asked about the allegations on the SAG Awards red carpet yesterday (January 21), saying: “I think that above all what we’ve always said is that it remains vital that anyone who feels victimised should and does have the right to speak out and come forward.”
She then added: “I obviously support my family, and not everything that’s been reported is fully accurate, so I think we’re waiting to get all the information. But of course now is the time for listening, and that’s what we’re all trying to do.”

At the weekend, Scarlett Johansson appeared to call out James Franco at the Los Angeles leg of the Women’s March 2018.
“How could a person publicly stand by an organisation that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?” Johansson asked during her speech, before adding: “I want my pin back, by the way.”
