The Orange Line suspended service after a fire broke out on the track as a train traveling between Wellington and Malden Center stops, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said.

The MBTA tweeted that it received a report of a smoke on a train, which caused delays of more than 20 minutes. The MBTA announced at 3:21 p.m. that the service is suspended and later confirmed a track fire.

Video footage shot by passengers show people climbing out of a train that’s stopped on the tracks.
