GEORGIA — U.S. Representative from Georgia and QAnon supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene said Wednesday she will file articles of impeachment against President-elect Joe Biden the day after his inauguration. The move will be symbolic, since the House is controlled by Democrats.

She announced her plans Wednesday night on NewsMax, saying the Republican Party needs to change things up. She did not detail the specific charges for the impeachment.

"The 'silent majority' in this country is fed up with being the target and not having people in Congress stand up for them," Greene said. "The Democrats' plan is to tear this country down with socialism, and you can see what happened yesterday with impeachment. They have no intention of creating unity, they have no intention of healing."

Her speech reiterated Trump campaign talking points that called Biden's family criminal, raised unproven claims his son, Hunter Biden, had taken part in illegal business dealings, and denounced a Green New Deal that the President-elect didn't support during the race.

Greene, who is active on social media, also linked President Trump's ban from Twitter and Facebook as caused by Democrats.

Greene’s threat ignores that 10 Republicans voted for the second impeachment because of the president's speech last week that urged his supporters to head to the U.S. Capitol and fight. The House voted 232-197 in favor, making Trump the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

She is a follower of QAnon, the conspiracy theory that believes Trump is ridding the world of sex-trafficking occurring in high levels of government.

Greene said Democrats impeached Trump for "absolutely nothing. There was no trial, no evidence, nothing shown that he truly planned or incited the violence that happened at the Capitol that we all condemned."

She said the focus needs to be on how Biden "abused his power of office when he was vice president." She offered no proof of wrongdoing.
