Charming exterior, quality renovation on the interior

It’s no wonder prices in Bagley have been steadily on the rise. The northwest Detroit neighborhood is right next to a vibrant commercial corridor, the Avenue of Fashion, and full of attractive, well-maintained homes. Just like this one on Santa Barbara that just hit the market for $224,900.

We love the exterior with its Tudor-ish touches: the multiple roof lines, bay window, stone accents around the front entrance, and half-timbering.

Inside, the nearly 2,000-square-foot home has gotten a simple but effective update in the last year. In addition to new roof and windows, the hardwood floors shine, the decorative crown molding is pristine, and the rest of the fixtures and finishes are restrained. Everything in the kitchen—granite countertops, cabinets, appliances, backsplash—are new. Same goes for the bathrooms.

And this is on top of an already nice home: See the screened-in Florida room facing the back yard, the second-story deck, and unique finished suite on the third floor. There’s also a detached three-car garage.

Like what you see? 17369 Santa Barbara is listed with David Antonick of Brookstone Realtors for $224,900.
