High school baseball games galore set for Sunday at CSI

The College of Staten Island will be the setting Sunday for the Staten Island HS Baseball Showcase, which will feature six games beginning at 9 a.m.

The event is being sponsored by Staten Island-based TLC Physical Therapy and owner Jason Lamendola, whose generous donation includes $1,200 in umpire fees.

All 12 of the Island’s PSAL and CHSAA teams will compete in the Showcase, which lets Island players showcase their talent in front of college scouts.

The CSI/MCown-Port Richmond game at 9 a.m. will kick things off. Curtis and Moore Catholic will follow at 11:15 a.m. and then it’s St. Peter’s vs. Susan Wagner at 1:15 p.m., Farrell vs. New Dorp at 3:45 p.m., Tottenville vs. Sea at 6 p.m. and finally McKee/Staten Island Tech vs. Petrides at 8:15 p.m.

The two marquee matchups figure to be the neighborhood rivalry games between Farrell and New Dorp and Tottenville and Sea.
