Conor McGregor hits back at ‘disrespectful’ Khabib Nurmagomedov after UFC 257 loss

Conor McGregor had a message for Khabib Nurmagomedov after Nurmagomedov’s criticism Saturday night.

Step back into the octagon.

Nurmagomedov, the undefeated 32-year-old who retired after his last fight in October, took a shot at McGregor after he lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. It was McGregor’s first UFC fight in a year and his second since losing to Nurmagomedov in October 2018.

“This is what happened, when you change your team, leave the sparring partners who made you a champion and sparring with little kids, far away from reality,” Nurmagomedov wrote on Twitter.

To no one’s surprise, the 32-year-old McGregor jumped all over the comments to lobby for a rematch.

“Does he want to come back or no? Because he’s not throwing no leg kicks,” McGregor said of Nurmagomedov after being done in by Poirer’s kicks. “If he wants to have his disrespectful comments, come back and let’s go again my man. I’m here for it. That’s fighting talk.”

UFC president Dana White has been trying to coax Nurmagomedov out of retirement.
