VIENNA, VA – All 2020 summer performances at the Filene Center, Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods and The Barns at Wolf Trap have been canceled due to the new coronavirus, the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts has announced.

This is the first time in nearly 50 years the foundation will not host live performances through the summer, according to the announcement.

“The continued health and well-being of the Wolf Trap community of patrons, artists, and staff are of paramount importance to us," said CEO Arvind Manocha in a prepared statement. "Concern for the welfare of all makes summer gatherings for performances unfeasible.”

Over the summer, the foundation will develop and distribute new content from the Barns and the National Park in order to bring music to audiences.
