There is actually good news happening, despite the coronavirus. Sign up to get it.

There’s the police department that bought and gave away 300 pizzas to people in the community. The parents who felt bad that their son was missing out on his 21st birthday, so they turned their garage into “Club Quarantine" (complete with dad bouncer and mom bartender). The owner of Five Guys franchises across New Jersey who cut his salary to $0 to avoid laying off his employees.

If you look for them, they’re not hard to find. People, volunteers, doctors, nurses, first responders, essential workers, and businesses across New Jersey are restoring our faith in humanity and reminding us that, despite the coronavirus pandemic, there are great things still happening here.

It’s something we all know – when faced with adversity, with a staggering number of our residents, neighbors, and friends coming down with COVID-19 – New Jerseyans will step up. We will help and inspire and provide daily reminders than we are stronger than anything we come up against.

That’s the point of #TogetherNJ – an NJ.com initiative to provide our readers with positive, uplifting stories about people supporting and showing love for each other in tough times. They are an oh-so-needed break from the constant stream of concerning coronavirus news coming at us all the time.

And now, you can get those stories delivered to your inbox every week.

Subscribe to the #TogetherNJ newsletter and each Thursday, you’ll get a new dose of goodness to help you get through these uncertain times.

And, if you know about a positive story we haven’t covered yet, tell us about it. See more #TogetherNJ stories here.
