Concord Police Seek Tips After Attempted Murder On Market Lane

Cops hope security footage from a downtown apartment building will lead to the identity of a man accused of robbery and attempted murder.

CONCORD, NH — The Concord Police Department has released video surveillance stills from an apartment building in Bicentennial Square of a man accused of attempted murder and armed robbery Thursday. At around 5:40 a.m., officers were called to Market Lane for a report of a woman who had been shot at and physically assaulted. When they arrived, officers learned that the woman was assaulted inside the Families In Transition apartment complex, according to Lt. Sean Ford, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police Department.

"The victim was not hit by the gunshot, which narrowly missed her," Ford said. "The victim did suffer minor injuries from the assault."

The woman was transported by Concord and Fire Rescue teams to Concord Hospital.

Security surveillance at the apartment building – a multi-unit apartment building where numerous children sleep – captured two suspects before and after the incident.

"A person of interest directly involved in the shooting was captured on video," Ford said, "entering the apartment building prior to the incident."

The man was described as white and wearing a light-colored T-shirt. Investigators are asking for help identifying this man.

"Police consider this person armed and dangerous," Ford added.
