HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A crash and subsequent vehicle fire on Sunday turned deadly. The crash closed a lane on a portion of Interstate 81 North near Front Street in Harrisburg.
Dauphin County Press Secretary Brett Hambright says the person who died was a 56-year-old man from Florida. His cause of death was determined to be smoke inhalation and thermal burns, and his manner of death was determined to be accidental.
The name of the man will be released pending notification of his family members.

According to PennDOT, the crash occurred on I-81 northbound between Exit 67: US 22 EAST/PA 230 EAST – HARRISBURG/CAMERON ST and Exit 69: PROGRESS AVENUE.
According to Pa. State Police Trooper Megan Frazer who spoke to abc27, the coroner was on the scene of the crash, and traffic was being detoured at exit 67 onto Cameron Street.
PennDOT has confirmed to abc27 that the bridge was not damaged because of the crash and fire.
