One day after Lauren Sanchez filed for divorce from estranged husband Patrick Whitesell, Jeff Bezos took two of his children to Milk Bar in New York City’s East Village for some sweet treats.
“Jeff was having a low-key night with his kids,” an eyewitness told Page Six. “He ordered the classic cereal milk ice cream. No one else seemed to notice him while he and his kids waited quietly in line.”
After the billionaire Amazon founder and his kids got their desserts, they rejoined Bezos’ bodyguard, who was waiting outside with an SUV.
“The car abruptly vanished as soon as they got into it,” the spy added.
On the West Coast, however, Bezos’ girlfriend and Whitesell were working to officially dissolve their marriage. Although they officially filed for divorce on Friday, we were told it was just a formality because Hollywood power agent Whitesell and Sanchez have spent more than six months negotiating and agreeing to the terms.
Bezos and his ex-wife, MacKenzie, finalized their divorce last Thursday, only one day before Sanchez filed; however, Page Six reported that the timing of both divorce filings was merely a “coincidence.”
MacKenzie walked away with about $35 billion.
