It’s not unusual for coaches in any sport to be rumored for other jobs.

Just ask Nick Saban.

So, it should come as no surprise - in the midst of March Madness - as we get geared up for another NCAA Tournament that Kentucky coach John Calipari has been connected to the UCLA job.

The UCLA 247Sports website reported unnamed sources revealed Calipari was showing “serious interest” in the Bruins job.

However, Calipari shot that down quick Wednesday night.

“Before I go to bed, let me just say this: I’m coaching at the Univ. of Kentucky. In my opinion, there is no better job in the world to coach basketball. My plan and my desire is to retire at Kentucky. I think the university feels the same as I do and we’ve talked openly about it.”

Kentucky - a No. 2 seed - plays Abilene Christian in a first-round game in Jacksonville on Thursday. Tip is set for 6:10 p.m.
