Director will use old footage of late Sylvia Miles for indie film

Before she passed last week, Sylvia Miles — the Oscar-nominated actress and downtown party fixture — was scheduled to co-star in the indie movie “Japanese Borscht” with Michael Musto.

Page Six has learned that Miles will appear in the flick after all.

Director Eric Spade Rivas said he’s secured footage of Miles shot by late videographer Nelson Sullivan — who took candid video of Miles in 1984 chatting with a pal on the phone at home.

Scenes in “Japanese Borscht” will be edited so that Miles appears to be on the phone with Musto.

Rivas said it’s a way to pay tribute while moving along his own movie’s plot.
