Jennifer Saunders may have brought an all-star cast with her to parody Mamma Mia for this year's Red Nose Day for Comic Relief, but it was her take on Cher that had most viewers in bits.
10 years after her last mockery of the ABBA musical, the Absolutely Fabulous icon returned on Friday night (March 15) in honour of hit sequel Here We Go Again, alongside some of her funniest friends.
Cher of course played a key role as Donna's mum Ruby in Mamma Mia's 2018 follow-up – something Saunders took full advantage of by imitating her to perfection.
Twitter just couldn't get enough of the hilarious performance.
Airing in two parts, the skit's first half was all about teasing Cher's upcoming appearance.
Finally showing up in the second half, Saunders’ Cher explained of her decision to star in the film: “You get a tour and an album after. So, for me, it was a simple decision."
Alan Carr and Philip Glenister were also back singing off-key as Colin Firth’s Harry and Pierce Brosnan’s Sam, plus Sue Perkins and Miranda Hart were the hapless producer-director combo once again.
And Saunders was of course back playing Meryl Streep's Donna as well.
There was also a whole group of newcomers, including BAFTA Award winner Carey Mulligan as Amanda Seyfried's Sophie, ex-Bond girl Gemma Arterton as the Young Donna and former Strictly Come Dancing star Susan Calman replacing Dawn French as Rosie.
Baptiste star Tom Hollander played Andy Garcia's Fernando, plus there was Rose Johnson as Young Tanya, Tracey Breaks the News' Lucy Montgomery as Tanya and The Inbetweeners' Joe Thomas as Young Sam, Bill and Harry!
