Virginia On Pace To Administer 1 Millionth Vaccine This Weekend
Virginia is on pace to administer its 1 millionth COVID-19 vaccine this weekend as the state slowly picks up the pace of vaccinations, Gov. Ralph Northam said Friday at a news conference in Richmond. Overall, more than 9 percent of the state's population has received at least the first dose of the vaccine.
Northam Calls For Some In-Person Learning By Mid-March
On Friday, Gov. Ralph Northam named March 15 as the date for all K-12 school divisions to make some form of in-person learning an option, a year after the governor ordered schools to close on March 13, 2020. Northam said he talked with superintendents Friday morning and expected school divisions will "come on board."
