HERNDON, VA — Police have arrested a Georgia man who they say tried to pass a fraudulent prescription at a Herndon grocery story.

Police arrested 22-year-old Xavier Knowles and charged him with three counts of assuming the title of doctor and selling or distributing a schedule-V narcotic, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police say he tried to pass a fraudulent prescription at the Giant Pharmacy located at 2551 John Milton Drive at around 8:35 p.m. on July 12, but was stopped by officers when he left the store.
