17, Mostly Children, Hurt In School Bus Crash In Salem: Reports

SALEM, NH — A multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus sent 17 people — most of them elementary school children — to the hospital, according to WMUR and other reports. Their injuries were reportedly minor.

WMUR said the bus was carrying children from Massachsuetts schools in Lawrence and Methuen, for a field trip. Andover Public Schools said none of its students were on the bus.

Salem police said the crash occurred after 11 a.m. on North Broadway near Lake Street.
