New York Knicks fans around the globe will have their eyes glued to their television screens on Tuesday night in the hopes that frat house ping pong balls will reinvigorate the fate of a once storied franchise that has seemingly lost its way over the better part of the last two decades.
Of course, I am referring to the NBA Draft Lottery, which will be shown on ESPN at 8:30 p.m., though Staten Island hoops fans are in for a treat if they care to join WFAN’s Afternoon Drive trio of Chris Carlin, Maggie Gray, and former New York Jet Bart Scott, the hosts of CMB, at Kettle Black’s viewing party at 415 Forest Avenue.
CMB, which goes on air after Joe and Evan and precedes Mike Francesa, airs every weekday on WFAN from 1 to 3 p.m.
The radio trio will make an appearance at the bar from 7 to 9 p.m. -- and Knicks fans can join them for a drink to toast the opportunity to select Duke’s Zion Willamson with the top overall pick...or to drown out the sorrows of yet another strand of Knicks hope evaporating along with the team’s title chances.
Either way, the night is sure to be filled with emotions, and hopefully for the Knicks, plenty of options at the top of the draft order!
