Apparently it is possible to eat chicken wings without scantily clad waitresses. Hoots, Hooter’s family-friendly, quick-service concept, plans to open at least two more Chicago locations, one in Logan Square and the other in the South Loop.

Crain’s Chicago first reported the news.

The first Hoots opened in Cicero back in 2017, as the company attempted to reverse slipping sales and capture more of the home delivery market. As I found out firsthand, the concept featured a condensed menu of breaded wings (totally fine), a couple of chicken sandwiches (above average), snow crab legs (strange) and fried pickles (skip). Since then, a burger has been added.

Of course, the biggest difference between Hoots and Hooters is the complete absence of waitresses in short shorts. Instead, you order upfront from people dressed modestly in T-shirts and khakis.

According to Crain’s, the Logan Square location will be at West Diversey Avenue and North Pulaski Road. The South Loop location is still under wraps.
