MA Weather Forecast: Snow Estimates Rising For Midweek Storm

A winter storm watch has been issued for most of Massachusetts.

The snowfall totals expected for a storm arriving Tuesday and persisting into Wednesday have increased, prompting a winter storm watch for much of Massachusetts. Up to 8 inches have been forecast in about half of the state.

The high totals are expected in the north and west parts of the state. The Boston area is expected to get 4-6 inches. South of Boston could get up to 4 inches, with the Cape and Islands getting a dusting.

The snow will make its way to Massachusetts later Tuesday, after the evening commute. Wednesday's high temperatures could reach 35 degrees, meaning not everything that falls is definitely going to be snow. The snow shouldn't linger for too long; Weekend temperatures will return to the 40s, with next Monday hitting 50 degrees once more.
